Known as Mr. Slap Wojtek Pilichowski Born April 16, 1969 in Warsaw, Poland, the bassist, producer and arranger is known as a studio musician. His playing can be heard on over 120 albums.

Wojciech Pilichowski is a world reference in slap, he had an incredible performance and with an extraordinary genius, his musicality is also sensational, providing several invitations for recordings and concerts all over Poland and around the world.

His aggressive Slap is admirable for containing musicality, we can note the influence of the great Mark King, in our opinion he can be considered the bass player with the fastest Slap in the world.

He has worked with many popular pop/rock artists – Jan Bo, Natalia Kukulska, Kasia Kowalska. Professionally active since 1992, Wojtek Pilichowski has built a huge discography, which includes solo works and works with several other artists. Furthermore, his name is recognized as one of the main teachers of the instrument in his country. However, he still gives workshops to show his impeccably technical and musical ability.

Wojtek Pilichowski is honored by many prestigious Polish awards.

He leads his own bands. As leader, he recorded nine albums and four workshop publications for bass players. He belongs to a group of instrumentalists whose range of interests and abilities spans very different musical styles and aesthetics. That’s why his talents have been used by popular music stars such as Maryla Rodowicz, Edyta Górniak, Enrique Iglesias or Basia Trzetrzelewska, as well as by rock artists such as Simon Philips or famous Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain. He received the Best Bass Player award from Gitara i Bas magazine successively in the years 1995-2003.
