In 1957 Adolph Rickenbacher innovated with his neck through body technique, which consisted of using laminated pieces of wood and built a body / arm instrument in one piece and created the bass Rickenbacker 4000 Bass.
In 1961 was created the innovative series Rickenbacker 4001 Basses, that became popular by the rock bass players. In the 60’s, it was said that whoever had no money bought a Fender and who could, bought a Rickenbaker. With a very original design, it was neck throu with double truss road, two volumes and two buttons of hue, arm of maple and walnut.
