William Earl “Bootsy” Collins (born October 26, 1951) is an American musician, singer and songwriter.
Bassist Bootsy Collins is known for his work with James Brown in the early 1970s and the band Parliament-Funkadelic.

His first band was formed with his older brother and was called The Peacemakers in 1968. This band was hired as a support band by James Brown and lasted 11 months, long enough to record the hits “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine “,” Bewildered (1970) “,” Super Bad “,” Soul Power “,” Talkin ‘Loud and Sayin’ Nothing “.

Bootsy Collins is considered by many to be the main funk bassist in history and has very distinct Warwick instruments, especially for the use of the star in his design.
